MYSTERY KNITALONG!
|
Here's a chance for you to join Monarch Knitters in a really fun Mystery Knit-
Along from designer Laura Nelkin!
A Mystery Knit-Along is where you get knitting instructions a little at a time, spaced out over
about a month, and you don't know what you're making beforehand. But rest assured, if it's
Laura Nelkin, it's going to be fabulous! Plus, it calls for just 420 yards of sock-wieght yarn, so
it's not going to be a huge commitment no matter what it turns out to be! And there are
3 levels of beading, so you can do a few beads or go all-out!
The first clue comes on January 13th (after the holidays are behind us!) and we'll kick it off
with a Mystery KAL Launch Party, here at Monarch Knitting, on Friday January 13th from
5:30-7PM.
Then, as each clue comes along, we'll have an informal get-together here at Monarch at
11AM on the following Saturdays: January 21 & 28 and February 4 & 25. Then we'll all have
a wonderful who-knows-what to show & share about!
This is going to be loads of fun and a chance to stretch your bead-knitting and simple-lace
knitting skills! (You should have a bit of lace-knitting experience for this project.)

This one hour session is for brand new
knitters, or those who’ve been away
from knitting for a few decades or so.
You’ll learn to cast on, knit and bind
off, so you could make a scarf or baby
blanket after just one session. Also a
good class if you want to move beyond
scarves and need to pick up other
basic skills like purl, increase and
decrease.
Classes are limited to two.
Beginners: All you neeed for this
class is your enthusiasm. We will
supply the rest. For more advanced
techniques, bring in the project you're
working on, or some scrap yarn.
