Sales Associate Position – Monarch Knitting

Monarch Knitting seeks an outgoing, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Associate.

Working alongside the store manager and owner, this individual will help support the daily operations of the shop while providing outstanding customer service to Monarch’s wonderful community of knitters. This role requires collaboration, attention to detail, clear communication, and enthusiasm for helping customers with their knitting projects.

In the Sales Associate role, applicants should have a solid knowledge of knitting and feel comfortable engaging with customers who have a wide range of knitting experience. A friendly, welcoming attitude and a passion for fiber arts are essential in creating the warm and inspiring environment Monarch is known for.

The individual will report to the Store Manager and Owner.

Qualifications, Experience, and Tasks Required:

• Experience with knitting to a degree that allows the individual to assist knitters of most levels

• Friendly and engaging customer service skills

• Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently

• Strong attention to detail to help keep the shop looking beautiful and backstock organized

• Experience with Point-of-Sale systems

• Retail experience preferred

• Interest in staying aware of industry trends that help keep the shop inspiring and engaging for customers

• Perform other duties as assigned

The candidate must be able to work 24–30 hours per week, Thursday-Saturday.
