The New Colorwork - Geometric Knitting Basics with Margaret Holzmann - November 21st

If you like color but not hassling with all the yarns involved in traditional colorwork, knitting geometrically may work better for you. In this class we will learn some of the key techniques while making the Center Stage block. You can make a Pillow from your block or go on to make a full blanket.

Margaret is a knit designer who loves creating big things—especially graphic, boldly colored blankets. She coined the term “geometric knitting” to describe her signature construction style, which blends familiar (but rarely combined) techniques to produce blankets that burst with pattern, color, structure, and visual interest.

This class is for advanced beginners and up.

In the class you will learn the techniue to make a square of the blanket. Margaret will provide a blanket pattern to you after class.

The homework file will be sent to you after registration. You will also be sent a hand out two weeks before class that you will be required to print and bring to class.

Margaret designs blankets because they offer a true blank canvas—to explore color, shape, and composition while creating functional art that can be displayed and enjoyed in the home.
